User's Guide

Travel Bros is a community platform for men who travel, live, and date internationally.

This is a masculine-first space, where men can speak freely without self-censoring.

We have a Zero Moderation content policy, meaning users have absolute freedom of expression, and content will never be removed because someone doesn't like it.

While most social platforms are User-centric — users post, user feeds, you follow users — Travel Bros is User and Location-centric. Locations are treated like Users.

If you tag a post or story to a city, that content appears in two places at once: your profile, and that Location's page.

Over time, every tagged post builds a searchable, location-indexed database of real on-the-ground info, organized by location and built entirely by the community.

The main feed shows posts from all members across all locations, sorted by newest. Positive reactions to posts give the poster Rep points.

Posts can be tagged with a location. You can filter posts using the <b>📍 Worldwide</b> dropdown at the top of the page, or browse everything globally. Posts also have comments.

Stories are quick visual updates. If a story is tagged to a location, it becomes part of that location's story feed and Explore view too.

On Travel Bros, both cities and countries are considered locations. Every location has its own page showing the members currently there, members who have been there, posts tagged to that location, and events.

The Explore tab is all of the stories that have been tagged to locations, and you can filter that page with the location filter at the top.

There are both country guides for the big-picture overview of the culture, country, and women, and city guides for city-level logistics, neighborhoods, and on-the-ground info.

Guides are currently written by Steve Wolf in collaboration with founding members. The future vision is for the guides to become aggregated location info shaped by what members share and contribute over time.

Users can direct message each other in the Inbox and join location group chats. Right now the group chats are country-based, and as membership grows and demand appears, city-specific chats will open in the future.

Once you join a group chat, those conversations are also found under the Inbox tab.

Users can create events and RSVP to them. Events can be in person, tied to a real location, or online for things like group calls and topic discussions.

Elite members can also make Elite-only events that are not available to general users.

Your profile shows your current location, travel history, bio, all of your posts, and your Rep points.

Rep points accumulate as your posts get positive reactions.

Notifications keep you updated on posts, mentions, followers, and community announcements from Travel Bros.
